Overview:

This is a vintage boucherouite rug made from cotton. Technically it's a handknotted rug, but the fiber has worn down over time, giving it the feel of a flatweave rug. This piece features a central column of larger diamonds. These diamonds are filled in with small blocks of color, giving the impression that these diamonds are checkered in pattern. This piece would work well in a bathroom, entranceway, in a kitchen, or next to the bed. With older, handwoven rugs, the sizing sometimes varies (plus or minus) a few inches on either side. It its narrowest width, this rug measures 2' 5" across, and at its widest it measures 2' 8". As a lightweight rug, it could use a rug pad to keep it anchored in place and add a little extra cushion underfoot.
